  • Mower won't start when hot

Have a Sears mower with a Briggs and Stratton 7 HP engine, starts on the first pull every time when it's cold. If I use the bag, stop the engine, empty the bag, it never wants to start again! I've been trying for over 5 minutes, did not prime it, no go, primed it, no go. WTF???

It only does this when it has been used for a while and the engine gets hot. I changed the plug last year, filter and oil, but it did it then too, just really pissing me off today! Any idea WTH is causing this?

How old ? Check for spark when hot. Electronic Ing. issue. Or at least it was my problem. Bad plug maybe.

It's probably about 7 or 8 years old. Started fine after I let it sit for 15 minutes. Fucken drives me nuts! I'll check it next weekend.

Now my damn weedeater is acting up, ran fine, ran out of gas. Filled it up, now only runs at WOT! As soon as I let of the gas, it dies. Choke it, start it, runs great at WOT, but then let off the trigger, dies... Took forever to finish the front, didn't even attempt the back yard.
