I've been in my house now for 8 years. Our neighborhood is loosing the yards and I would like to see if anyone has an explanation for this, or had the same thing happen.
My yard used to be even with all of the concrete (driveway and sidewalks), but over the last several years it has been going away. I have no idea where it is going, it's not seeping through the seams in the concrete. There is no evidence whatsoever of it being washed down the street near the curbs.
Here's how much yard I've lost against my driveway, it is about 4" lower than it used to be:
I have about 5-6" missing from under my driveway. I dread some day when I come home and park on it and end up breaking it.
My cleanout used to be even with the yard, now I have to mow around it or I will hit it with the blades:
Alot of the sidewalks have sunk, here's what my sidewalk looks like where it meets my neighbor's sidewalk:
