  • In-sink erator

My Badger1 just started leaking out of the bottom, and instead of tearing it apart and looking for parts, I just replaced it with a Badger5.

Is it probably just a seal? It's leaking from the holes in the bottom. Is this something that is normal? Can it be easily fixed?

If so, does anyone need a fixable unit before I donate it to the trash bin?

There is a rotary seal at the bottom, that could have gone bad. But there are a lot more things that could have caused it as well. New disposers are relatively cheap. I'd just toss it. Not worth the hassle, really.
