Check the edit. Looks like Grainger has several on their page that are about $5 and would probably work until you could order a more reliable one.

Meh, I'm already back. $50 was worth it, AC is blowing again. I prolly could have found it cheaper if I looked around more, but I'll pay a few dollars more in this heat!

From what you said I woud have thought this was a bad motor. Glad it was the cheaper (and easier) fix. U-Fix it and Grainger carry AC capacitors if you ever need additional sources.

My capacitor was messed up last friday.

My house got up to 90 and it was pretty bad. I spent 2 hours trying everything and gave up. (Doesnt know shit when it comes to this)

He went into the attic and replaced it in 10 minutes. He just charged for the part since he knows my dad and it was over with.

I come into work Monday and my co-worker had the same problem as me on friday also.. small world

Here's the video I found that pointed me in the right direction.

It took 10 hours for my house to come down from 88* to 79*. This heat is nuts.

Mine blew up Tuesday. Noticed it seemed warm in house when I woke up, by 9 degrees on thermostat. Never since 2004 (bought house then) had the house been that much warmer in the morning.

A/C guy came in, told him what was up, he said "I know what it is".

BTW... walking into a 96 degree house in the afternoon after working in the heat all day blows. So happy the A/C guy came by same day!

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot
