I don't think it's an Indian Hawthorn. The pic on the left is the Indian Hawthorn...pic on right is a Wax Myrtle. The Indian Hawthorn's leaves are shaped wrong based on the pic the OP posted. Looks like a Wax Myrtle to me. I'm no botanist though.
