Gap forming along wall and roof at corner of home

I have an inch gap at the corner of my home along the roof line. There is also about a two inch crack between the soil and foundation where its coming apart. Im assuming my foundation is too dry but is simply watering the foundation enough or do i need to do something else? Thanks in advance!

Start w/ that first. The soil here in N x has a massive expansion/shrink rate.

Use soaker hoses 18" away from the foundation and water evenly around the perimeter. Don't water so long that it runs off and do not let it run down the gap between the soil and foundation. You'll most likely need piers to re lift the wall, but maybe you'll get lucky.
