  • Can someone help me install a door?

    Or know some one who can help me? I just recently purchased a front and back door ( French) and I'm gonna need a hand. Unless it's an easy job then I can do it myself.....what do ya say

            sorry bro i'm not a carpenter just a mason! i'm sure they're are some guys out there that need the money look on craigslist! it's a crap shoot i know but may be worth it

                  I hope so but I'm sure it's more complicated. It came with it's own frame. Plus I also have some French doors I'm gonna try and install

                    Nah, door comes with frame.

                    Its really not too bad, carefully pry off the old trim molding, run a sawzall down in between the wall/old door frame, cut the old screws/nails, remove the old door/door frame, slide the new one in, shim it up all around, make sure its level and start screwing it in, replace the trim.

                          I have a sweet mechanics tool set and a power drill. I know I might need some pry bar or something, screws, hammer, shims, i just bought some glue and caulking. I guess I'll tear that sob in then start making my HD shopping list

                            also look for instructional videos on the net! that might help get you in the right direction

                              Make sure you install the door the right direction. You dont want your front door opening outwards.
