I have no issues with Armando or the quality of his work. I was mostly curious why you didn't buy your unit from him. Thought maybe I could get a better deal elsewhere and still let him install it.

P.S.- I just googled the tax credit and it went from 30% and a max of $1500 in 2010 to 10% and a max of $500 for 2011. BOOOO!

as others said, it will definitely help, but you likely won't get your money back. i'd say to try to sell it with the current unit, if it's working fine...offer some money at closing for a new unit, if the buyers bring it up. it really just depends on the competition, if the unit looks really bad, etc.
