  • Dallis Grass

What is the best way to get rid of it?

I want to see if there is anything really out there I can spray on to kill it. If not, I am going to just start digging the shit out.

What type of grass do you have?

Bermuda. For some reason, this Dallis grass is only growing on the edges of my driveway and sidewalk. There is absolutely none in the middle of the yard.

Bermuda has choked out everything with a little help from some broad leaf killer.

I used Green Light w/ MSMA to kill mine.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

                  Julia, it's called dallas grass.

Also, how can you tell the difference between dallisgrass and crab grass?

So what is a viable substitute to msma and why is it only growing on the edges like that?

Paspalum is a genus of the grass family (Poaceae). Commonly known as paspalums, bahiagrasses or dallis grasses most are tall perennial American grasses. They are most diverse in subtropical and tropical regions.

I don't know of a good substitute for MSMA, but dry soil pulled away from the concrete and left a nice valley for the weed seeds to drop down into the soil.
