Hrmmm, that picture didn't come out as good as it looked on my phone.

    Almost nursed back to health.

West side of my backyard is suffering a little, but I'm fighting a losing battle on the front yard. Monday and Friday water restrictions suck.

maybe you should fertilizer better, i am only watering my golf course fairways once per week with the rains we've had, with no problems at all......oh and this is still on winter rye.

but you should also base things on soil types, ie...sand, clay, etc....type of grass.......st.aug, , bermuda, zoysia.......etc.. not just temperatures

Say, you have any references for lawn leveling?

Here's a couple of pics of the junk I've been working on for the past year. Still a long way to go, but it is already miles ahead of where it was when I started. This is only the back yard, the front is still in disrepair, but we don't spend much time in the front so I put it on the back burner until the back yard finished.

My dog tears mine up time to time, not as much lately. If he's digging holes, i'll just throw some of his shit in there. I added soil on top of all the holes and watered twice a week for about 10 minutes

5 weeks ago i pulled the weeds out myself with a shovel , put my mower to its lowest point and after that i sprayed some weed b gone. Last week i pulled the weeds out again, mowed it and put some left over fertilizer.
