  • Need a licensed electrician to fix wiring in circuit breaker box

Any licensed electricians here that work residential areas in southwest Fort Worth?

I have three arc fault breakers that aren't wired properly. When you trip them, some of the outlets in the bedrooms still have juice. I need that fixed. If the arc fault breakers are not required per building code, I'm ok replacing them with regular breakers.

if it kills some receptacles and not others, then it sounds like some receptacles are on a different breaker. a breaker doesn't have the ability to selectively turn off individual receptacles on a circuit...it just shuts off the circuit.

sounds like the house was built pre-arc fault.....your asking a lot more than you realize. it might be kind of a pain in the ass but try locating the breaker that controls the outlets your needing protected. turn it off then check all the other outlets for operation. it may be as simple as installing an arc fault breaker of having to intercept the circuit and tie it into the arc fault circuit.
