Carpet or wood laminate in bedrooms

When I had my house gutted and redone after a house fire, I had them put wood laminate everywhere except the bathrooms and bedrooms. The carpet that they put in the bedrooms is way cheap and I am about to replace it. I'm just not sure if I should put more wood laminate in the bedrooms, or just stay w/carpet. If I do the laminate, I'm pretty sure I will not be able to find an exact match on what else is in the house, so I would be looking for something with a totally different color/finish.

Would either affect resale? Any suggestions?

In my opinion it, it comes down to whether you like carpet or not. The only room left with carpet at my house is the master. As soon as it finishes wearing out more wood is going in. As far as resale when we bought our current house, having almost no carpet was a big selling point for me.

IMO, tile in the wet areas and carpet in the bedrooms.

Carpet is generally not going to help resale, especially if it is in the bathroom.

I can't offer much to laminate, since I'm just a tile fan these days. I suggest carpet in the bedroom due to keeping things a little quieter and a little warmer on the feet when crawling out of bed.

I think carpet sucks... my ideal home would have zero carpet anywhere. It's just a dirt and allergen trap.

Exactly why we only currently have carpet in the master closet, the stairs, loft and 2 kids rooms upstairs; however that is soon to change!
