Yes the quote is free, if not it might only be about $25.00.

The guy who gave me an estimate said i should get them now because the prices will change when solar screens are in more demand during the summer.

You could just be like me and wait till Winter time to get certain parts of your house done for cheaper that dont immediately need them.

Ours was a free quote, but remember - generally speaking - quotes are only good for so many days/weeks.

Yes, quote is free from Lone Star. Had mine done today.

          $712 - no grids, for 15 windows (most are large windows ~ 45" x 83")
          $1,010 - with grids, for 15 windows (most are large windows ~ 45" x 83")

A good tactic is to use grid where visible from road...etc (depends on house too) and then no grid screens for other windows.

The front of my house is already done with the grids (was already done when we moved in), so I will be doing the rest without.

Lonestar did my screens about five years ago. They have stood up extremely well over time. I take mine down every fall and put them back up in the spring with storage in the attic. They can easily take that kind of wear and tear (which isn't much). They really did a quality job and I think they have easily paid for themselves over the years.

Called Monday and they came out this morning sometime after 9:30am.

Came home at 10:45 for lunch, walked into my house and it was nice and dark

Sorry for the crappy camera pic.

Looks like really good work. I am probably going to do frameless on the back of my house like you, no one will really see them anyways.

Unkr looks really good... I did the same no frames on the back of my camp since no one sees it. The black compliments your house well.

I had Lone Star come out and give me an estimate for the 5 windows in our new house that face west. Nice guy, easy process, and I am hoping they have the screens on by the time we move in Saturday.

We went with black frame, black screens, 90%, no grids. Hopefully I can get over there to get a picture before they get them installed.

Ya'll can see the work they did on the front of my house here:

We still have to get through appraisal but it looks like I'm going to go from this: To this We had our home inspection yesterday and we are going to hit the sellers up for a new water heater and some repairs. However I'll be happy to take some cash instead. I'm very capable of making the repairs myself but I

I would use them for the new house, but everything is already in the shade, so there is no need....
