Look at their website or different colors. I used grids on my front windows to make it look more normal and less goth. It is a dollar more per sq ft with grids

Grids is the way to go. Looks odd to me without them too.

if you want to do them on a really cheap budget... use filter fabric for the garden for screen... it won't last as long, maybe 2 years. but i did my buddies house for 27 dollars

We have a sunroom that has 4 skylights in it, and the way our house sits that side of the house is always in direct sunlight. So it basically turns into an oven even at this time of year. Our upstairs bedroom has two windows that look into the sunroom and we get a lot of residual heat from that upstairs.

Well I went to Home Depot and bought the solar shade 90% material and installed late this afternoon just over the skylights. Instantly felt a world of difference. I think it was a great investment. That room with the skylights now covered and leaving the windows cracked to get circulation i do not think will be a problem anymore.

I just got a quote from Lone Star. $273 for 4 normal size windows and 1 large bathroom window. I called last Thursday and they came out for the quote the very next day. I'll be letting them do the work.

What's a normal sized window? I have 6 windows that are 3 x 5 foot. Thinking about getting screens.

The guy came right on time and i told him i mainly wanna get the back windows done first and the front of the house in the future.

                    Back 5 windows - 231$
                    Back door - 28$
(Old 2010 picture when we were moving in. Please excuse the killer pit bulls in the picture, they just ate a family)

                    Front 7 windows 250 $ / with grids 371$
                    (pictured in above post)
                    - He said to just wait till Winter time to get the front windows done so it'll be cheaper since im not in a rush to get that done. I'll be going with grids/80% in the front, they make the house look a lot better imo.

I think you will be pleased. What color did you go with? I went sandstone since my bricks are a lighter color. Your dark red ones would look good with black IMHO.

I'll be going with black, how hard will it be for my dogs to look out the door during the day if i do get a screen on it?

I would do 90%, the holes are smaller and it will keep your dogs nails from fucking it up. The sun is so bright around here that the 90% should be mandatory. I have 90% on my home.

Is it a free quote? I want to do this to my house, but I am not planning on buying until about July when I can afford it. Free quote would help me plan and budget
