  • No talk about the $6 TRILLION cut plan?

From what I have heard about it on the radio and seen on the news, I think its GREAT. We need to have cuts to entitlement programs (especially medicaid) and stop the leeches from sucking us dry. Paul Ryan said that the change in Medicare would effect people under 55 and would give them the same style healthcare benefits in which the federal government uses. Bush tax cuts stay, taxes go down on the rich (which should help prosper jobs), etc..

I truly think we need to cut foreign aid. We are wasting BILLIONS of dollars on countries that Im sure are hardcore mismanaging it.

Im just happy someone has stepped up with a plan that not only cuts spending, but formulates a plan to pay back the debt.

How does cutting taxes for rich people help job growth? Wouldn't you cut taxes on businesses to help with job growth? My point is this: Since most businesses operate under their own tax ID and pay their own taxes as a business, wouldn't you cut their's )the business) and not the owners personal taxes? I understand the idea that if they keep more of their personal money then they would put it back into their business. I don't necessarily believe it works that way most of the time. Example: I have a business and at times when I need to "loan" the business personal funds, I make sure I document it and take the money back out...tax free. My degree isn't in business, so those that are way smarter at this than I...please educate me.

It works both ways... Rich people dont spend money when they get taxed to hell.. Business doesnt invest into workers if they get taxed.

Well it can be looked at as this. Why do you believe that the government has a right to a larger share of someone's labor than they do?

foreign aid makes up less then 1% of the budget.

if you are going to give someone a tax break, then they need to prove that they created an AMERICAN job. I think we need a flat tax rate, everyone pays the same percentage.

Ryan (Crispin Glover look alike) has the full support of all tea party members and supporters, meaning there are at least 4 senators and 55 representatives 100% behind it. Lieberman backs it and all of the other moderates that plan on keeping their jobs will support it as well.

Obviously he won't get the full package through immediately but it's a drastic change from the increased spending we've seen the last 20 years. Ryan has the balls to call out everyone in congress and the president for not doing enough to cut spending. They all know whats coming and none of them are doing much about it. He has a solution and now it's out in the public.

Man I'm liking Wisconsin more and more every day.

No argument from me at all on that point! My wife just got a $25k raise and good ol Uncle Sam took his portion (tax increase) as well. Very unfair. The harder you work for your family, the harder you work for Uncle Sam. Plus as an employer, when I give an employee a raise my % that I have to pay for them goes up as well. Sux ass that's for sure.

Agreed. On both points. Prove that you added jobs as a result of a tax liablitly decrease. Or better yet, for each employee that you hire, you liability goes down a certain %.

I've been wanting to bring this up, but I suck at the internet and posting links.

I'd be happy if they pull off half of what they're proposing. I'm pretty sure Ryan won't get it all, but I applaud the effort, and it's a damn good start.
