Historically every mainstream religion has eventually died out and been replaced by new. Sometimes the old evolve into the new. Once polytheistic religions dominated, but now we find the majority of the world dominated by claimed "monotheistic" religions. Some of these have been around for a long time, but history tells us that they likely die out and give way to something else. There has always been some kind of religious practice in mankind, traceable all the way back to our earliest ancestors? What do think the next dominant religion, or religions, will be found in the near or distant future?

Are you asking us to predict how Christianity will be viewed as a dead religion, in the comparison to how Greek mythology is viewed today? I don't know if the stories in the bible will be as compelling. There are too many characters for it to flow well, its decidedly more violent, and the past thousand years of its practice have done a lot to kill any associated mysticism that could've added the necessary mystery to its story line. The main reason it's unappealing to a non-believer now would make it unweildy as a basis for fiction. The bible isn't a very fun read, IMO.ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.

Now, admittedly the Greeks did develop some important mathematical concepts which benefit us greatly today. These concepts apparently didn't serve them well in the forum of public finance, however.
