I THINK (therefore I'm not speaking for anyone), what he maybe implying is war should be fought like it was in WWII or even to a certain extent Vietnam.

I'm not sure or not if he's supporting sport killing civilians or not. If he is, I'm not sure if he has any .... qualifications to go a long with it.

Personally, I'm not going to miss or weep over civilians from countries that support terrorists. Why? Mainly because they won't revolt against the people that kill our people. In many ways, in my book they are just passive/aggressively just supporting it.

At the same time, I understand our country's rules and will not weep over some troops getting court martialed. Full blown warfare is a lot different then using fingers and stuff as gambling chips. (if true)

This is EXACTLY what I'm saying. Fight it like we did in WW1 and 2. Tell civilians to leave and anyone left they are fair game. If we receive fire from a building, destroy it completely.

No, I do not support the killing of civilians and got shot protecting innocent civilians. However, the majority of those "civilians" are combatants who threw their weapons down when we got past their fire and screamed "CIVILIAN!" Bullshit. You have a weapon NEAR you, you're a combatant.

My morality is centered around survival. You destroy the enemy so throughly that they do not return to bite you again. In the long run, a short term cruelty reaps a long term peace.

Sorry I got a little winded but I have been out here for so long only because I believe in the cause; although I am seeing the cause change a lot from when I first got here. I left a job in the States making more than I did when I started contracting. But in all fairness I do make conciderably more now. This coming September 11 will be my 6th one in country and will more than likely mark my coming home.

This is a black eye our troops do not need while they are trying to do their jobs. It actually increases the threat since these people revolt for every little injustice and all the hard work to keep with working with us can be destroyed over incidents such as this one.

That is conduct not consistent with the American fighting force. We are not murders we kill those who willful engage in hostile actions against the United States or who pose an immediate threat as similar. I have been in this country for almost 5 years and trust me there are very few Afghans that I actually like as a human being but I would never willfully murder any of them for, lets face it, SNGs. That is what that small group of a smaller unit did. They willfully sought out to commit heinous acts in violation with Geneva Convention and standards of a US fighting soldier/Marine/sailor/airman.

The Germans used to hate to go against the United States Marines; often referring to them as Devil Dogs. The Germans feared them and I can pretty much bet my paycheck none of our Marines were out murdering innocents with disregard to their morals and the morals of the US civilians that backed them.

I was at a COP with a small unit that just lost contact with a small group of embedded training team (ETT) members leading an Afghan Army mounted patrol. Three days later their bodies were found totally desecrated, hacked up, eyes gouged out, body parts strewn about. That is not the behavior of a civilized army. The artillery and FOs retaliated on everything that moved with a weapon in sight. That is how our enemy should fear us; with the way we fight and our decisive actions of violence directed towards the enemy not innocent civilians.

These troops have proven that they are among the 3-4% of the population that are psychopaths and should be hammered with every bit of the UCMJ never to see the light of day.

I feel bad for the image that's being created out of this in the liberal media. Because it isn't fair for the guys that go over there and risk everything to work under strict engagement rules and the like.

Which to me, sounds like they were intentionally going around killing people, not innocent people killed in action or in a crossfire.

Can you point out which are innocent? Does the enemy wear a uniform? No. Until the 'innocents' stop harboring them, I say man the torpedoes.

War is hell. War should be so horrible, so dehumanizing and traumatizing that our enemies should not pick up a weapon against us for generations

Why would terrorists not want to pick up a weapon because our morons for troops are killing civilians, which they do too! What sets the soldiers apart from the terrorists we are attacking? Nothing, exactly. Killing civilians and mutilating their bodies, taking trophies off of them. And you see nothing wrong with all this. It is common sense acidental deaths are caused to civilians in war. But this is murder.
