Read my post up above where they have already tried and convicted one trooper for planning to commit murder, murder on three counts, and conspiracy.
Maybe we should start a poll of who all here has no problem with this and see how many of you guys have every dealt with a enemy combatant and who have not. Who has served and who has not.
I want you to look at it this way. Would you approve as a father if your son came home from Afghanistan with tales of cutting off a little kids finger after posing with his dead corpse and kept it as a souvenir? How about the scalping of the heads of dead civilians your son said they left the cam with the sole purpose of finding, killing and planting evidence on them? I am not a father but I would take my son into a very small room and introduce him to all four corners until he couldn't walk. That is not how I would want to have raised him to desecrate the remains of even my enemy much less innocent human beings.
For the record: I deal with Afghans on a daily basis; many I am sure would capture me and sell me to the taliban for $50 if given the chance and some I am positive are in collusion with Anti-Coalition Forces (ACF). I truly hate these people, there are some good but for the most they are thieves, liars and cheats and those are the ones that don't hate us.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

The majority of the Afghans do not want the Taliban to regain control of their shit hole country. They enjoy their freedoms now. And where like I said before they are almost all liars, cheats and thieves but if they see Americans indiscriminately bombing their houses, villages, towns and killing their friends who they know had nothing to do with ACF; it is not hard for them to make the decision to change their mind and start planting bombs for $50 a pop.
On that note it is time for me to eat chow. Where a fucktard Afghan is going to be serving me after he prepared it.Last edited by KBScobravert; 03-29-2011, 10:50 AM.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

From AP news but these look a lot like facts and not opinion.--
Morlock, the first of the five to be court-martialed, was sentenced last week to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of murder, as well as conspiracy and other charges. He said the killings were part of a deliberate plan to murder Afghan civilians.
[/B]I fully get your want to stand behind a troop. But there comes a time when you have to break contact to prevent damage to yourself. The acts these young men are accused of (one convicted already) are NOT the acts that the people at home come to respect you for. Cutting up murdered civilians and keeping body parts for souvineers . I have seen tons of dead bodies out here and not once did I think "oh cool a photo op." or "I thing I want that finger".Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

We need to remove all the binders from our troops. Just tell the commanders to do whatever they feel like they need to do to destroy the enemy and leave "winning hearts and minds" out of it. It has never worked, will never work. I'm of the mindset that we should take scalps and decorate our outposts with them. Strike fear into the enemy. Roll their dead in pig's blood and do daily flyovers with aresoled pig fat.
They use our own good will against us. We are the only country in war that ever adheres to Geneva and it's been hurting us since we signed on. These bastards aren't even like the Germans who would intern us. No, they behead us, burn us alive and drag our bodies through the streets. Call it my brain damage from they fucking shooting me in the head but there is nothing that I can see wrong with fucking up our enemy in every way possible.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

...I think one key issue here is we're using a military force to do policing actions in a lot of ways. It never has and never will work (at least long term, with strict ROEs). Hell, asking the nice Dutch "Peacekeepers" how that stuff worked in the Balkans in 1995.
One major problem I have is that the locals do not WANT what we're selling. At least bad enough to do anything about these problems themselves. If they don't want it, and our government won't practice complete and total warfare - we should just go home.
For the record, I supported Afghanistan and Iraq. However, I did not realize our mission would become so - one sided.
Also, the media still does not report about all the positive. Just crap like this.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Fuck that.

I agree that terrorists should be tried by the military courts. As far as troops being subject to UCMJ (this may sound douchebagish but) we have a volunteer army and nobody forced them to join. As a Marine I knew that I was subject to UCMJ and what that means as far as my rights if I violated it.
Yes war does make you do bad things but good NCO's should be there to keep younger men in line who can not control their urges (read Psychopath / Sociopath). If you want to argue that the Army and the war/deployments made them Psychopaths or Sociopaths then they also failed to seek Army help to correct their ways before they committed these crimes.
Hommie I understand your hate, having gone through and surviving what happened to you, I am sure I would have a lot of hate in my heart for this region of the world too. But i would not be committing crimes that I knew there were consequences for.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.
