Although I consider that a bad anology for soldiers over seas that are under a contract.

What make a civilian deserve their check over a person that works for a paycheck through the government?
I'm just glad that there are enough people on the hill to realize this too. Our troops would be fucked and wronged with your philosophy.
It all boils down to the same thing I said earlier. This is just a scare tactic by the liberal media trying to scare everyone into believing that the Republicans are going to harm them by holding out for more cuts. Sad thing is, its working with most of the people here.

Next the liberals will try to scare the old people with some bullshit about social security checks.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Honestly I wouldnt worry about it, its not like they can just tell you to go home but at the same time it never hurts to kick some back into savings just in case.
I'm not worried about being able to take care of my self or my bills. I'm actually one of the guys that saves almost all of my paycheck for the entire time I've been here. Again it's just the fact that I'm doing my job earning my check, now do your job and give it to me. (gov not you) But some of my guys out here live paycheck to paycheck and would be up shit creek by recieving a check on a different day than the 1st or 15th.

Just saw this story and it reminded me of this post. Republicans trying to pass bill that will ensure no military pay stoppage along with their supporting civilians.

I'm double dipping right now. Getting paid Militarily and Federally at the same time. Going furlough would suck but you would get paid back that money at some point. You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.
