When I was a troop, I was exactly the same way. (the poor side, not the smart side) Don't regret it, got a lot of things out of my system - but I had no money. Plus I only paid all my bills every 3 months or so. So, maybe a pay delay would not have hurt me as bad. "Sorry 1st Sgt, pay was delayed that is why I did not pay them. "

They need to start with all the cock suckers holding a public office. Move them to a dorm type building, where the eat sleep and work. Stop paying them to travel back to their homes to see their families. Stop giving them thousands to rent offices and hire aides. Feed them MRE's the troops like least.

Hell no... I completely respect them. But much like everyone else in the society who is paid by the government (teacher, military, worthless POS on welfare/medicaid) they will have to suffer together. I would love to see the checks stop with the welfare/WIC/Medicaid first, but it wont happen.

Teachers aren't paid out of a Federal budget and DON'T classify the working military force with people receiving hand-outs. They will not and should not "suffer together." The members of the military provide a service for payment, just like anyone in the private sector. The only difference is where the check comes from. What make a civilian deserve their check over a person that works for a paycheck through the government?

I'm just glad that there are enough people on the hill to realize this too. Our troops would be fucked and wronged with your philosophy.

Then you either do the work or you find a new employer. Remember, everyone here is against collective bargaining for pay, so what other options do you have other than to go somewhere else.

Although I consider that a bad anology for soldiers over seas that are under a contract.
