There are videos on youtube where people from NH? I think. Where they absolutely refuse to give the officer anything. Making their life hell. The guy had everything needed to oc legally he was just being a pos. So of course the police kept him there for a good while. It is just ignorance. They are hurting the cause, not helping.
Its basically the same way with traffic stops. People who are jackasses are always going to be a jackass.
Some, most is on youtube where oc activists whining and giving police hell ect. Claiming their rights are being violated because people called police on them ect.
A lot of the videos are in CA, and there are very specific things the officer can do and ask for. In some of the videos I've seen, the OC person knows more than the cop and is being an "ass" because he refuses to give more information than the officer is allowed to ask for.
...but do think there should be new provisions put into place for CHL to address the problems described in relation to "printing." Maybe a few things tweaked on current legislation would keep everyone happy for now. Just a thought.

It's not illegal unless you're intentionally failing to conceal. What more do we need?
What Camino said, TX laws are very specific on this. When things go wrong its because the officer doesn't know the law as well as he should. I've read some threads where the police severely overreacted to calls when someone prints. One guy had his gun taken away for a couple of weeks, which was totally against the law.
In my limited experience, mostly through threads, the police that haven't encountered a CHL before don't know the laws regarding it. One of the points of CHL class is to be well informed of the law. In fact, it should be your business as a CHL holder to know more than the police! Fortunately, I haven't been "made" yet and haven't had the experience first hand.

Yeah, but I found out it COULD happen easily enough. My weapon is always in a nice safe holster - but still.
Can't remember WTH I was doing, but it was a few weeks ago and I was doing some work. From bending over, picking stuff up, twisting around and so forth my shirt had come up and over my gun. So I was basically OC'ing.
I do spot check myself and found it, but it was probably 20 minutes since the last time I did that. One of the minor annoyances of concealed carry is trying to spot check yourself w/o being obvious.
The more weight I lose though, the easier it is to conceal carry. Just when your shirt lifts and you don't notice it, that is an "aw shit!" moment.

If I was against carrying I would not have a concealed carry license. I just wish that the whole printing thing would be rectified by law.
You don't see the direct contradiction of yourself in your own posts? You don't carry when jogging (or whatever the hell) because you're worried about printing. Yet you're against open carry? How in the world do you come up with that? If you were worried about printing, and you wanted to carry, then you would be just fine with open carry cause it would do away with printing. Even if not directly.
but if they allowed open carry in texas i would carry a full size in an outside the waistband holster and have my shirt draped over it. that way it is still concealed most of the time but if it does become visible(reaching up high to get something, bending down to pick something up, etc.) i will not be breaking any laws.
