I wonder what's next? Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Rail Road and Airline Workers? All in the name of _______? Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. The list can go on and on on what local, state and Federal Government can use against its citizens to infringe upon their rights.

Again, firefighters, police, etc can contribute to their own retirement and healthcare, like me."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

I'm a little tired of public unions having that "right" myself. If shit like that goes on in the private sector, a company doesn't steal the food from the mouthes of people's children to fund their losses.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

If that is the case, how about we all just get these rights and have the country go belly up in debt because the individual cant make it on his own with out their government rights.
Wow, grow some balls and learn to stand on your own too feet without government intervention.
Our rights are defined in the constitution, not in socialist programs.

initially this whole thing was about saving money, taking a little out of the employee pension and a little out of their healthcare benefits, all with the intention of saving the state some money. what they passed the other night, did not include any of this, it just put an end to some collective bargaining, so its not saving them any money.Last edited by Cannonball996; 03-11-2011, 11:40 AM.
