  • Answer to all of our problems..

Nothing new here... just have been thinking about this for a while...

Drilling oil would solve a lot of our current problems....

    1) Drilling here would create jobs.
This would get people off of unemployment which would help the government from creating more defecit.

When people have jobs they have insurance... another item costing taxpayers a ton of money.

When people have jobs they buy shit. This boost the economy and the flow of cash.

When more people are getting a paycheck, the government gets more taxes which would also help the deficit and budjet.

There are also more jobs in the fact that companies who produce well equipment would ramp up production. Companies that supply those companies with valves, hoses, hardware, etc would need to also increase capacity.

    2) Create competion in the oil market
This should lower the price of oil and gas which would help Americans at the pump which would also boost the economy. When people have cash left over after necessities... they buy the nicer things in life.

    3) Get the middle east to stop fighting
If we can produce our own oil, we have the power to tell the middle east to f off. We create a policy that says if you fight we don't purchase oil from your country until the issue is resolved.

In my opinion, the oil guys in the middle east get rich whenever their is a conflict over there. The idiots on wall street artificially raise the price of a barrel of oil through speculation everytime they fight. If I was able to make money everytime the people at my work fought, I would stir stuff up all the time. What motivation do they have to chill out?

Like I said nothing new.. just wanted to speak my mind. DRILL, BABY DRILL!

The politicians always preach to get rid of our dependancy on foreign oil... lets do it. This country is not yet ready to do it the "green" way they want to shove down our throats.

I know.. and the Bible also speaks of fighting in that area of the world until the world ends. So far, that has been right since Cain/Able days.

At least there was a decisive winner between those two. This will never end until they blow up each other.

It seems A LOT of the problem we have in the US have simple enough solutions. At least to a simpleton like me and what I know about issues for the various solutions.

However, not 1 politician has the balls to pick one, implement and deal with the consequences. This is in regards to border security, illegal immigrations, oil dependency, so on and so forth.

I mean sure, some are easier then others. Still too many chiefs.

Are you saying we should just go to a dictatorship. Things really get done quickly in that model.

Fair enough twist on what I was saying. However, the stalemates and decline of our country are my main concern.

The lack of any integrity and selfless service of our politicians is more what I was getting at.

Mostly, is the fact that none of them have any real balls to get shit done. Ever read articles where dems and reps are arguing. They are all so f'ed up on their opinions that neither side makes any sense.

Either way, border security as an example. It's a problem, fix it. Don't just talk about it for 15 years. Politicians do it and I guess the reality is that the general public allows it.

I'm pretty sure it has been longer than that.

I think there needs to be some type of expedited mechanism in the whole process. Sometimes a bill needs to be proposed that no one wants to take the hit for. It needs to be proposed somehow, by a third party if need be, and these fuckers need to make their vote.

The difference is that we wouldn't give a shit. Take oil out of the equation and the entire middle east is a shit-hole. Oil is really the only redeeming quality they have. No other natural resources to speak of. I'd like to see them eat that shit when it falls to $10 a barrel like it did in '99/2000.

We don't exactly have a majority of the world's oil reserves. The fact of the matter is, our easily exploitable oil sources are dwindling in the US. The, "drill here," crowd doesn't seem to grasp that we'd just be pounding sand. What we need is better exploitation of our coal and natural gas resources now, with the intention of getting to the next energy and raw materials technology.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

What makes you think that our oil supply is run dry or running dry? I can show you 1000's of well heads in Oklahoma that have been drilled and capped since the 90's. There is oil down there a bunch of it too. The main problem is that our government and mainly the EPA make it so damn difficult to produce oil in our on country.

What we need to do is relax EPA regulations, stop this ethanol bull shit. Roll back the sulfur regulation on diesel this is a big on because everything even gas is shipped using diesel. There should be no reason that diesel is more expensive than gas ever. For God sacks build some refineries.
