Something I have been thinking about lately..

I think the founding fathers did a more than exceptional job at creating this country's basic laws. However, there are a few things that I personally would add to their work, if I was one of them and had lived at that time. You know how there are certain things that you can not say, by law? There is actually only one that I know of, and I think we all know what that is. Well what if they had added a couple more things like that, that must be enforced? Like a challenge to the right to bear arms? How do you think things would have turned out, if it were a crime to suggest that there should be any form of gun control? If it were a crime to even talk about it? Just wanted to see what yall's opinion might be on that.

I think it should be a crime. Like if the POTUS even talked about it, he would be arrested. Just as if anyone talks about certain other things that you will be arrested for.

They would have probly hung you or something back then. Anti gun people probly didn't exist, cause you never know when that tomahawk might come flying through the window and scalp you lol. I think that it should be illegal to talk about gun control or suggest it. That would be awesome. No law regarding it could ever be made, if you couldn't even say it. Any attempt to ever actually do it would be laughable. Just one of the many weird things that go through my head.

Then they'd take those laws and add on their own. That law would infringe on our freedom of speech and I don't agree with what is considered illegal on that point either.

Do they even do anything but investigate those anyway?

Seeing as how firearms were a tool people used to work and gather food they really would have had a tough time even thinking about banning them. It'd be like banning horses and wagons or water powered mills.

Still though, there is no room for negotiation. The rule is simple and it's intent is obvious. The right to bear arms is in order to maintain a well regulated militia to protect the security of a free state. You can try to define well regulated, militia, free state or what ever but citizens still have a right to bear arms regardless of what nanny state liberals think. Them wanting to take them away is exactly the reason we have the right, it's not a free state if the government takes away our right to defend ourselves against it.

Individual states can regulate gun control however they see fit, the federal government can't.

In 1776 though they'd already alienated all of their allies and had the rest of Europe ready to go to war them.
