Bernie does speak some truths about how the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Hell, I am lucky enough to be making the money I do, but much like millions of others, I don't think I'll ever be able to retire because of my lack of a big enough nest egg, but that's my problem. It's no one else's responsibility. However, I would rather be free and need to do what it takes to survive rather than live in Bernie's world where I don't enjoy the freedoms and the fruits of my labor so that some other lazy bum can benefit from them. Or, be told what I can and cannot do because it simply might hurt someone else's feelings or intrude on their personal space.

Amen. I'm a small business owner and I do well enough for myself. I currently have 5 full time and a few part time guys. I've had as many as 12 when we're really busy. All of my guys earn more working from home for me than they would sitting in an office working for the man.

If these Socialist fucks get their grubby paws on my money, I'll close my business and go back to work for the man. Why work myself to death if I don't get to reap the rewards at the end of the pay period?

In my Architecture days, the firm I worked for would contract drafting work with companies in India on certain projects. They work for a small fraction of an American employee sitting in the office. There's the time zone differences, language barriers, etc. but a lot of people make it work and save a lot of money on labor in the process.

I don't believe the poor get any poorer. I mean how do you do that? I guess you gotta go from living in the cheapest apartment possible, to being homeless? And then from there, to... being dead? No I'd say the rich get richer, and the poor live better than they used to. Its probably more like the poor get richer. Compare today's poor, vs poor from 100 years ago. in 1919 if you were poor, you may not get to eat for a few days, while you also worked. As a child. Today's poor live like kings compared to the poor of history.

So I don't really believe all this "poor get poorer" crap. Sounds like more typical socialist horseshit to me. If anyone gets poorer, its usually because of their own dumb ass. Those people who's money just burns a hole in their pocket, and they just gotta have that new thing.

This is the greatest country in the world for upward social mobility. That is why millions come here every year, legal or illegal. The poor in this country are only poor for the moment or are staying poor because of a series of mistakes on their part.

All of this talk of income disparity is just another cash grab by the socialists to get more money and by extension, power. Because once they have the money, they can dole it out for votes. Have any previous government programs back to the new deal even put a dent in poverty? Why would a new one do that? Why would I send one more dollar to Washington based on their track record?
