So are you believing these two asshats? They took it upon themselves (hey SCOTUS, fuck you) to declare the Defense of Marriage Act "unconstitutional". Never mind a pesky little thing like Judicial Review, never mind that the Executive Branch has no power whatsoever to declare ANYTHING unconstitutional. This is probably the most bold, in your face power grab that they have perpetrated yet.

I do not personally support homosexual marriage, but I don't think the constitution gives the federal government that power to regulate it. I would say it is an issue that should be left to the states, stop wasting my tax money fighting the lawsuits. Unless I am missing something it makes sense to me."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

I think the big issue here is not the act itself, but the actions of the Executive branch. They have no authority whatsoever to declare any law or act to be unconstitutional. They have the duty and the responsibility to present it to the SCOTUS for judicial review. Until such time as the Justices deem it unconstitutional (if they do), the Executive branch is legally bound to support and uphold it.
As far as the act goes, it doesn't require any reciprocity among the states (in keeping with the 10th Amendment)."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

He cannot just decide which laws he wants to support and ones he wants to not recognize. I guess since he's gotten away with all the other bullshit he's done, this won't be any different.
I remember when the person in that position was a man of dignity and integrity. Shame that it has turned into a fiasco. As goes our highest position, so goes the rest of the country. I can't wait to make the move.
