Whatever happened to the good old days when a Good Samaritan would've shot this fool dead in the street or at least hauled him off to the judge to be hung expeditiously with a rope by his neck? Justice used to be swift, and actually exist not too long ago.

I didn't follow this at all but I only see they charged him with 1st degree murder and possession of firearm. Is that it? If that's true that's shit and why he would have been found not guilty. I can't imagine those being the only charges though.
