The quantity of grain to be consumed this year for ethanol production - 4.9 billion bushels - boggles the mind. That’s more than twice as much as all the corn produced in Brazil and more than six times as much as is grown in India. Put another way, that’s more corn than the output of the European Union, Mexico, Argentina and India combined.

I heard on the radio that 4.9 billion bushels would feed 340 million people a for a year. The US energy policy will destable the world fast by causing food prices through the roof.

Barry said well before he was even remotely in the democratic primary lead that he wanted to force coal powered electric plants to be so unprofitable that they would go out of business. Does him forcing other idiotic means on us sound out of place?

Every farmer that can will be growing corn. Its why most of them have grown beans for years. It was guaranteed money, over milo and other crops.
