Barack Obama is turning his new home in the posh Kalorama section of the nation's capital - just two miles away from the White House - into the nerve center of the mounting insurgency against his successor, President Donald J. Trump.

Obama's goal, according to a close family friend, is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment.

And Obama is being aided in his political crusade by his longtime consigliere, Valerie Jarrett, who has moved into the 8,200-square-foot, $5.3-million Kaloroma mansion with the former president and Michelle Obama, long time best friends.

Jarrett played a vital - if at times low-key - role in the Obama presidency. She lived in the White House, dined with the Obamas, and help shape his domestic and foreign policies.

The cartel gun running scheme was planned during Bush's administration and if you look back a few years Ronald Reagan's administration directly trained, armed and funded Osama Bin Laden. That and the Iran-Contra affair was a pretty bad deal.

Also every president from LBJ to Bush1 worked directly with Manuel Noriega, who of course worked directly with the Medellín Cartel and pretty much every other criminal in the world at the time.

Very unlikely. I doubt that the total book sales will even add up to 20 million dollars. Paying big fees for book deals is a form of money laundering used exclusive by the Democrats to get money to people while having political cover for the payoff.

So you would be looking at a Pence or Ryan presidency (if they were able to oust both Pres and VP)

It wouldn't change much in the direction of the executive branch other than to polarize the division between left and right even more than it is.

I don't think they want him out solely based on the R by his name. They want him out because he's not a career politician and he's going to upset the apple cart. Plus he has an R by his name.

Had he been a Democrat with the same background, spewing the proper left-wing rhetoric, he would already have a gold-plated Nobel Peace Prize on his shelf and would be Man of the Decade in every national publication.
