The Trump administration is considering a proposal to mobilize as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants, including millions living nowhere near the Mexico border, according to a draft memo obtained by The Associated Press.

The 11-page document calls for the unprecedented militarization of immigration enforcement as far north as Portland, Oregon, and as far east as New Orleans, Louisiana.

I have an issue with this too. National Guard has no place doing this. These weekend warriors do not have the training or experience, and will undoubtedly violate some rights along the way.

I'm a little more okay with them patrolling the border, but even that is questionable without significant and specific training..

I'm not saying that illegals should be left alone, or shouldn't be deported, but this is not the way it should be done.

Seriously, do you actually expect a legitimate answer? There will be no simple solution. But just because there isn't a great solution, that doesn't mean you institute the solution that likely violates constitutional rights of US Citizens.
