I'm a conspiracy nut, so here goes!
Comey was ready to move forward with recommending an indictment of the Democrat nominee for POTUS. Obama was never going to allow his agencies to prosecute his party's own candidate for POTUS. No way!
Obama used a surrogate (Bill Clinton) to meet with the AG, and probably also had someone meet with Comey to make sure no charges were going to be recommended or brought up. Comey was muscled into backing off, but he was pissed-the-F-off about it. His agency had a legitimate case against her.
Comey then had a news conference where he clearly articulated each crime committed by Clinton, but declined to recommend a prosecution. He tried to wear a brave face that day, but you could sense that he was bitter.
He was roasted inside the FBI and in the media for this "decision." He had a few months to mull it over and figure out a plan to keep Clinton out of the office.
His agents had been aware of Weiner's underage sexting (and probably other crimes) for months or years. They were well aware that this laptop had all that shit on it! Think about this, Weiner was a US Representative, his wife was assistant to the SoS and a presidential candidate, and they are the F-B-fucking-I. You cannot convince me that the laptop was some kind of chance find.
With that, Comey hatched a plan. Just before the election, the FBI investigates Weiner and "seizes" the laptop, where they "found" all of these "missing" Clinton SoS emails. It was just too convenient that each of these things happened in quick succession, weeks before the election.
With these "new findings" he told Congress and the public that there was more to look at in the case. Everyone in the country goes completely nuts. The Republicans are happy that she will finally face her crimes. The Democrats cry and whine that the FBI director is tampering with the election.
Two weeks later, and just before the election, Comey announced that there was nothing new to see there after all. Carry on.
And I really do believe that this was the one thing that kept HRC from being president today. I'd keep him on as head of the FBI too.Last edited by 46Tbird; 01-24-2017, 10:47 AM.When the government pays, the government controls.

I thought the FBI had a case, but knew if they brought charges during the election, they would risk her receiving a pardon via Obama. If she'd been brought up, God knows where that would have left the nation, they could have forced Obama on us some more-- martial law style--- trumped up a fake war or catastrophe (think 9/11) or some other power grabbing move. Now, with letting sleeping dog lie...maybe either the internal back-door score is settled, or perhaps charges will come! Just after the "presidents safety is ensured" (conspiracy theory).

The thing with Brexit, too, there was some urgency to get out of the EU before her people forgot their former identity as Britain. When you are diluted as a nation by a host of people with a culture so different...and at a rate where they never even had time to assimilate. You hear they're trampling ruins underfoot in neighbor countries like Greece,. You hear about it and--- sorry, but it threatens your way of life and your known method of surviving. Apparently both of us had our fill and at the exact same freaking time in history. What are the odds of globalism occurring at the same rate and stalling at the same rate? And by the exact same or notably similar voting patterns?
