That's what I was thinking. If he really wants to have her investigated then he will keep quiet until he is in office or Obama will pardon her.

    • Obama might pardon her anyway in advance of any formal charges. A precedent for this can be found in Gerald Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon before any actual impeachment proceedings began.

I still believe that.. Even if Trump doesn't push for prosecution.

Seriously though, I got $10 that says he (Obama) pardons Hillary.

What does it matter at that point? Their goal would be to keep her out of jail. I would guess her political career is pretty much over at this point, after trying for and losing the presidency twice..

            • I guess I don't see that working out. Time will tell.

              • A large part of Hillary Clinton losing twice in her presidential bids is that she was overshadowed by the popularity of Bill Clinton, because no matter what her platform was many people realized that she was put up to run in large part because of nostalgia for Bill.

                • And bring on the typical politician. Trump promised during a campaign and now hes backing away after winning.

I'll wait until after he's in office to make a judgement. With the republican control in place he might be able to stand on the "I'm not going to do anything" and let the new powers that be do the work for him without making it a huge media circus.

Obama also might have broken down into a hyperventilating ball of tears when they met earlier this week and said Hillary was going to kill his entire family if he didn't cooperate during his two terms 😉

                    • I would negotiate a "deal" with her.

The FBI continues its investigation, while The Clinton Foundation ceases all operations immediately and Bill and Hillary both walk away from politics and any leadership roles in any charities. If the Clintons violate their end of the deal, the DOJ moves forward with a prosecution of the case the FBI gives them.
When the government pays, the government controls.

                        No.

Complete, thorough, and honest investigation. If it's found that crimes were committed then people need to be held accountable, adjudicated for those crimes, and be introduced to the penal system if found guilty. We are a nation of laws and justice should be blind. No one is too big to fall. If you or I were caught with a suppressor or sbr without a stamp our happy asses would be in jail. We couldn't "promise to never do it again" our way out of it.

That's laughable. The media will make anything and everything Trump does or says into a media circus with a negative spin on every story.

I've given up on reading anything online. It's so insanely biased and videos are cut and edited to make everything sound as bad a possible for red and as happy and rosy as possible for blue. Fuck them all.

Yeah, that sounds great in theory. The problem is, that puts Americans through a long, drawn out prosecution of a person that 60M people supported and voted for. You think the backlash against Trump is bad for just winning the election, let's see what happens when Trump's administration retaliates against former political foes.

A lot of that was going to happen to Nixon unless he was pardoned.

If they can "stain" Nixon, we can "stain" the friggin Clintons.

While I personally despised both candidates, one of the reasons Trump won was because people are just sick and tired of the same back room "power" bullshit that both parties have been loving life on for over 50 years now (maybe more).

It's time for a "come to Jesus" for all of these bastards....
