Im just a simple thinker that the Republicans need to support the Republican ticket regardless of if they really like them or not. Cruz is a sore loser at this point but he came around. Republicans and Conservatives are not the same thing anymore. Have not been in a long while. A Republican in the White House does not guarantee a Conservative in the Supreme Court. At this point it almost guarantees a Liberal.

Agreed, the establishment is now in full control of the GOP.

In many respects the GOP neither wants nor no longer needs the help of constitutional conservatives as the country itself slides slowly more to the left.

As far as Cruz, I believe the endorsement now was a bone headed mistake that gains him absolutely nothing.

The left hates him, the establishment GOP hates him. His only lifeline was being the one dude who called bullshit when no one else would.

If he was going to capitulate to the eGOP, he should have done it at the convention and fell in line like the other lap dogs in front of Priebus and the Cheeto Jesus.

By taking the stand he did, whether you liked it or not (and whether it killed his career or not), was his defining moment. Now he's just the next politician to carry the water for the GOP.

Honestly, I say screw both parties....

Thank God I haven't given the GOP any money since 2004.

I try not to take such a negative outlook on it. You could just as easily say Trump may do an awesome job, if you compiled a positive list instead of a negative list of key points/words in his life. You're never going to get God in the white house, even Cruz (who was who I wanted) would have made me facepalm at times, I'm sure.
