The Bush family is just as much apart of the establishment as the clintons. There is no difference between an R and D, just keeping the status quo and they will scratch each others back to keep everyone in power and the money flowing. IIRC, sadaam didn't get all nasty towards kuwait until they started directional drilling into his oilfields, after he'd already warned them against it. If only the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980's had been allowed to run it's course, there might not have been any need for later intervention on behalf of Kuwait. Something about sitting back as spectators and watching Muslims in open battle against other Muslims would seem entirely appropriate today.Comment

Bush Sr always gets a pass in my book. Guy was born into privilege but chose to delay going to Yale to enlist in the Navy after Pearl Harbor. Saw real action and flew bombing runs. He took heavy fire one time that took out an engine, still finished his mission, and took his plane out to sea before ditching it. Survived a few days out there before being rescued. He could campaign for Bernie and I would still admire the guy.Comment
