Its just about the only play the dems have. Rile up the black lives matter idiots and supporters to protest Trump, namely at the Republican national convention, because of 'racism' and start causing a lot of shit. Declare martial law to quell the uprisings they started and forgo the election to keep the peace.

Otherwise, Trump wins in a land slide and he will prosecute Hillary and anyone else he can. Also, he is not a distraction from the anit-american progress you mention, he is the antithesis of that progress. An anomaly of the system that shouldn't be. They will pull out all the stops to prevent a Trump presidency because he stands counter to all the progress made and the path laid out for the future.
