Good God, I'm 33 years old, and most of my life has been a Bush or a Clinton. I thought we fought to rid ourselves of a monarchy?

I don't believe so. He also has had 2 terms. If I am not mistaken 10 years is the most legally alowed to be President after FDR. Two years as President due to being a Vice Preident and having a death or resignation, then two complete 4 year terms from election. I believe if ypu serve more than 2 years as President because of death, resignation, etc, you are only eligable for one elected term.

Of course this is all legal processes and Hillary doesn't give two shits about that and is never held accountable. So sure, Bill for VP is possible.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

She could choose Bill, or Obama, or...

Read specifically section 1 of the 22nd amendment. I see that you can not be "elected" president for more than 2 terms. It does not expressly deny a 2 term president from being nominated and subsequently elected Vice President.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

The electoral college elects the POTUS and VP on seperate ballots. They pick the VP, not whoever wins the office. Granted they vote for running mates 99.9 of the time. Hillary has stated herself that it may be unconstitutional for Bill to run as VP so I doubt that's going to happen.

More likely she'll pick someone like Tim Kaine. He was a fairly popular governor in Virginia, speaks Spanish fluently and won't cost the democrats a seat in congress.

Y'all are forgetting Obama holds a degree in Constitutional Law. I'm sure he could find a loophole if that's what they plan on doing.

Legally bound to only 10 years in the office as presidents. Might be able to be VP, but should something happen to Hillary, they legally could not finish her term unless there was under 2 years left. Not sure what they would do about it, unless they just went down the supersession list.

it was my understanding that to be the vp you had to be eligible for the potus . wasn't the whole point to defend against the kind of shit they do in russia where they just pass it back and forth . i do remember reading that it had not been tested before. too old to remember this shit. need me one of those pocket constitutions . am i missing something here ?

" The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States. "
