No one cares. Didn't you know American Idol just started?
“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods". Aldous Huxley 1962

US debt is actually about 4.5-5x the size of the economy. Horrible situation, but this isn't exactly breaking news.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

What's sad is, there'll come a day when they care an awful lot. They'll wish they'd never even heard of american idol if only they could make their troubles go away.

Right. No one ever factors in unfunded liabilities. If they knew the total, we'd all be LOLing!

About $60 Trillion, the majority of which is Medicare/Medicaid.

I just found it fun to watch the realtime search results for "Obama budget."

At first it was all negative, but slowly good articles about the budget are coming out.

Like the round about train, for a island that doesn't need one.

That's still nuts. I can't even begin to argue with people that don't understand that it is an unfillable hole.

Barry's submitted budget adds $12K of debt to every man/woman/child in the country. I'm going nuts...
