The chart you posted is how the budget breaks down if you take Medicaid, Medicare, and SSI out of it and is used by the leftest in our government to justify more social spending and cutting military spending. Basically it is nothing but a huge lie. Real defense spending is about 17%.

We spent $475,909,674,990 on Medicaid alone in 2014 and that was 9% of that years budget. Medicare accounted for 14% of the 2014 budget. SSI was 24% in 2014.

^^^ You dumb fuck. That is proposed DISCRETIONARY spending and it is meaningless. 2016s total budget will be about 4x higher. Most of the governments spending is non discretionary and 2016s dollars have not been spent yet and the tally for 2015 is not yet complete; that is why I used 2014s numbers.

You are being lied to and you believe that it is the truth. 10 minutes of research will open your eyes.

FYI: If you really believe that we are only going to spend 31 billion on SSI or 60 billion on health in 2016 you are a total fool. We spend more then that on HUD alone and a good portion of that goes to section 8.
