I watched a 60 something year old woman in a tube top try to make 2 separate purchases at a convenient store in Alvarado. She was buying a big bag of Dorritos and a 20 oz Coke with her Lonestar card, or whatever it was, and a pack of Salem 100s and Lotto tickets with cash. The Lonestar card machine was down. Instead of buying the food and drink with cash, she paid cash for the smokes and lotto tickets and said she would return later for the chips and Coke. Her belly button was pierced also..

At least she's paying taxes.

If you only knew how many times they pulled that shit at the store. They would buy a couple things given lin they would get in line pretending like they forgot their money at home taking your time looking in their pockets. Knowing that the people behind him in line didn't want to wait and they would say I'll take care that for you.

i did that with an older woman the other day, her $4.32 was worth the time it was going to take for her to go back out to her car and find cash.

I do that on occasion. Sometimes, bad ship happens, fraud on your account, got overdrawn for a stupid issue, etc. It's happened to me, so I dont feel bad about them or helping them out.

If you're out of money on your lonestar card, and you are buying junk food, that doesnt really seem like the same thing, dont you think?

On multiple occasions, I have seen people pay for a big basket of food with their Lonestar card and then pull out a BIG wad of cash to pay for their beer and other stuff. I'm glad society was able to help them afford T-bone steaks and other nice things. BTW, every one of them happened to be messican.

When I was a teenager I knew a couple of kids whose parents got food stamps. Back then they didn't have cards, it was the monopoly money kind. They would go to the gas station by their house and buy a soda with a $5 food stamp. The store would give them real money in change, then they would use that money to buy cigarettes.

Now they can buy their Doritos and Coca Cola on the Lone Star card then press the "Cash Back" button for $20-40.

After my uncle had a massive stroke my aunt was trying to get his disability setup for him and met a woman at the SS offices. She was telling my aunt how she got section 8 housing and food stamps, even though she was illegal. Her kids were born over here and she told them her husband had been deported, he worked for cash under the table. Talk about pissed! Here my aunt was going through hell trying to get benefits for my uncle who served in Vietnam and was a productive taxpaying citizen his entire life adult life.

I've known plenty of people who buy stamps from people for .50 on the dollar so the ones with the stamps can buy beer, drugs, etc.
