The problem with socialism is human nature. Ideally it's wonderful but there are two human characters that ruin it.

You have the power hungry and greedy that will always consume more than they earn. This makes socialism a form of economic slavery to the elite. The 2nd nearly as bad group are the lazy freeloaders. The slaves have to work even harder to support the lazy. So the reality is that socialism can never work because human nature is far from perfect. The sooner the young in this country realize that the better. The really sad part is that most of your millennials who want socialism are lazy ass good for nothing free loaders. The elites sucking up to them are elites looking for slaves.

I made this almost exact same point to a sociology professor when we (the class) were discussing communism. He just said I was indoctrinated to capitalism and kept repeating communism or socialism is "your best bet". Who the fuck says shit like that?

The only thing I would ammend here is the jab at millenials. This isn't a generational thing. Socialist libtards exist on all ends of the age spectrum. I would say for the most part millenials just want a fair shake like everyone else wants. But the system has been stacked against the next gen for a while. Borrowing from tomorrow so we can have excess today.
