... Which I find humorous is that, since what he did wasn't swept under the rug, they're trying to "rub it in": it was all hung out in full view and he was (apparently) forced to resign.

For whatever reason, taking out the trash is seen as a bad thing. It's humorous enough that what got him into hot water wasn't the dumb shit he did during Obama's presidency but that he lied to VP Pence. Again, the dems consider getting forced to resign as something to needle the republicans over, but it's totally cool to ignore illegal file servers and pay-to-play campaigns.
