4. Ummm... Sounds like a spec ops operation?!
5. Hint. Hint. Hint.
6. Just sayin.
The second boat should have self recovered but we weren't there and they could have been doing that when the Iranians pulled up on them. They tried to talk their way out when more Iranians pulled up. Dead in the water, out numbered and out gunned, it would have been a fish in the barrel type of slaughter....we go to war at that point.
Lots of guns on the boat but I would be shocked if they had a single round. You don't see the videos posted showing any ammunition, just the weapons.
SEALS don't drive these boats, regular Navy and you get what you see in the video.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Originally posted by DennyIf that's the case, I fully blame the sailors for not only getting caught, but to roll over like puppies. If they go on a mission while armed as they were, they call in for assistance. I laughed at the Iraqis that threw their hands up as soon as they saw American Forces coming in.
That apology by the sailor was not only bullshit, but it was also a violation of the Military Code of Conduct.
Granted, I was not there, but I hope that the sailors' surrender was, in fact, a means of last resort.
1. I suspect their ROE were retarded and they could not defend themselves either way....
2. I have to assume they were on their radio with the chain-of-command...something like "Sir, we're about get f'ed up here" and were told to surrender or otherwise given permission.
Understand, I'm not saying you're wrong - just another possibility assuming these were not a bunch of specops folks...etc.
I also don't buy that both boats broke down, but I could buy that 1 boat had a person in command, that f'ed up and led both boats into the wrong spot. Regardless if that person was being corrected and they were getting out of dodge or not - I could see that happening. (Also, just 1 of them could've ended up in restricted water and gave enough of a reason to overtake both of them)
I agree 100% with the apology. Unsure if USN and/or AF concern themselves as much with that stuff as the USA/USMC do. I'm sure violations happen all of the time though with POWs - I'm not going to hate on that too much.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Originally posted by helosailor View PostI highly doubt that either boat had engine problems and drifted off course, as mentioned in what I posted before. They got caught with their dicks out, and this was the end result. Also, SWCC guys are nowhere near regular Navy. They go through a lot more intensive training that 98% of other Sailors. Hell, even VBSS training didn't hold a candle to what these guys go through.
See my previous post. We got caught doing stuff we didn't want to get caught doing, and this is the cover story.
Why would Iran not counter the engine claims if it weren't true?Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

And the engines may have "malfunctioned" when they realized they were caught."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

This is Iran rubbing our nose in shit for something we did. No truthful explanation is going to come either side. Their government knows what happened, and our government knows what happened, but you and I are not going to know.
If all the fallout that happens from this incident is a few pictures of US military members in an embarrassing surrender pose, then our government is perfectly happy to keep mum. When the government pays, the government controls.
