Anyone see this? Global police force brained by the UN, enforcing resiliance against extremests?

This is a press release back from 2011, being funded by the Rockefeller foundation, setup by the UN, wtf? - https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2011...owship-program

A global network of cities dedicated to addressing all forms of hate, extremism and polarisation

Cities are vital partners in international efforts to build social cohesion and resilience to violent extremism. Local communities and authorities are the most credible and persuasive voices to challenge violent extremism in all of its forms and manifestations in their local contexts. While many cities and local authorities are developing innovative responses to address this

    The muslims don't like it:

Who else will be considered extremist by the UN or white house? This will be a police force on our soil. in our major cities, that essentially can bypass our elected officials.

    Another article...

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has announced a new global policing initiative called the Strong Cities Network to help fight extremism.

If true (and it seems it is), I don't think a lot of Americans are going to like it. Problem is "a lot" is not enough.

Is this the new Jade Helm? Do I need to forward it to all of my FB friends and sick Ted Cruz on them? If I don't, will that mean that I hate America?

Haha.. It just reads like something my 70 yo step-mother would post, with a link to an ultra conservative blog.

Check the 1st and 3rd link for sources and let me know if it seems made up.

I'm not suggesting it's made up.. I am suggesting that some chicken-little is reading way too far into something, and interpreting it in such a way as to get attention. As I see every single day on shit linked on FB.

And I'm not saying that about you, btw.. I'm expressing frustration towards all of the fear-mongers looking to get their website or blog more traffic. And that doesn't exclude mainstream media.

Oh, and I read the first and third link you posted, and see nothing about creating a police force, fwiw. But maybe I'm missing something.

If there is no police force behind this, as the link ceyko pointed out, how are they going to enforce anything they consider as extremest behavior? Write a strongly worded letter? Share information across a vast global network, but never do anything about it? I think that it is a valid concern.

The way I am reading it is that it is a platform for sharing information and best practices. No different than me meeting with others in my company that do a similar job, and comparing notes to see if there is a better way for me to accomplish similar tasks.

BTW, did you even read Ceyko's link:

                  Summary of the eRumor:

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has announced a new global policing initiative called the Strong Cities Network to help fight extremism.

                  The Truth:

Loretta Lynch has unveiled an initiative called the Strong Cities Network, but it’s not a global police initiative, and it doesn’t have law enforcement powers.

Conservative political activist Pamela Geller spread that rumor in a blog post in which she reported that the Strong Cities Network amounted to a global law enforcement initiative that would override American laws:
They're not enforcing anything.. They're trying to find better methods for identifying potential threats, and the like (according to all of these links posted).

From page 2 - "(U//FOUO) The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

These are one of the catagory of folks who could be considered extremest and would be on the radar.

Yes I read ceyko's link, that's why I brought it up and asked how all this would be enforced.

                        Exactly...

Nothing posted, that I have seen, indicates there will be some UN lead police force, not subject to US jurisdiction, as implied in the OP. Specifically this statement: "This will be a police force on our soil. in our major cities, that essentially can bypass our elected officials."

Besides, what is to "enforce"? They are sharing in information and planning. Not creating new laws to enforce.

Some people are choosing to interpret it that way, but they also thought Jade Helm was a way to take away Texan's guns.. lol

That is all I am saying.

Personally, I try to maintain a mix of "not caring" and "being paranoid." I'll read about it, decide what I think about it and then move on.

The current state of our country gives us plenty to be concerned about. I don't really see any good decisions being made.

In general I think you're right, but like most things we each come to our own conclusions. I'd rather know about it, do my homework, monitor it and move on.

That's because you're reasonable and intelligent. Unlike 90% of people that repost shit on FB and say "OMFG, can you believe what Obama is doing now??!?!?!?"

I think most would agree that 200,000 Syrian refugees pose a greater threat than veterans.
