  • IN the theme of "knowing your enemy"...

If ya'll don't realize, I'm pretty hardcore conservative. That said, I like to read what the "other" side has to say. I read the following article and then read the comments below the article. WOW, the liberals are a feisty bunch. If you decide to read the comments, notice the "demographics" of their readership.

They live in their own pitiful world and cannot begin to see what a traitor to our country that their own jackass, dumbfuck hero is. He is the one who is intentionally destroying our country, but they don't care. Like one of them said about taking the senators out back and shooting them. I say do the same thing to the other traitors first.

I figured ^ would be the typical response.

I've got to go against the Republicans here. Fuck them. It was disgraceful, childish, and uncalled for. I'll stop short of saying they need to be tried for treason, but this is complete bullshit.

Agree. The correct path to take would have been to let the IS Commander in Chief, I mean POTUS, finish negotiations and let him present the terms to Congress. From there, they can take appropriate action.

They need to do something out of the ordinary to stop him from running all over the constitution and ignoring the laws when he sees fit. They've been trying to do things by the book and he seems to outfox them at every turn. He got the AG office and most of the SC in his back pocket and does just about anything he wants. I'm happy that they are actually trying to do whatever they can to combat him. That is my somewhat ignorant viewpoint.

Didn't the Dems do something similar during the Reagan Administration? They sent it to Russia.

I don't remember this kind of uproar when Pelosi did the same or when Kennedy went and asked the Russians to help unseat Reagan but wait, that was the Democrats doing it.

Yeah but that was Ted Kennedy. The rest of the party was busy helping Daniel Ortega spread his marxism.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Republicans are supposed to be above this sort of thing. The reality is this moves makes them look just as childish as the libs.

... and this is precisely why the cry baby Republicans shouldn't have done something so childish. Because it gives the rest of the world the impression that they can do whatever the fuck they want and get away with it, because we're too occupied with our own political infighting and becoming weak. While it is true, you don't want to blast it out to your enemies. Cutting off the nose just to spite the face kind of thing.

He was never going to present it to congress and that was the point. He was going to do the agreement with Iran, and enforce it by claiming it was an "Executive Agreement" and by the time the courts were finished with it it would have been in effect for a year or two already and no one would have the balls to renig on it.

The very fact that the executive branch thinks it can usurp congress' treaty power by making a bullshit agreement is the problem here.

The very fact that it took something as big and potentially destructive as Iran getting nukes to get even part of congress to grow a fucking spine is the other problem here. If they would've stood up to this child of a POTUS from the get-go we might not be in this situation to begin with.

And now since Obama wants to let Iran have nukes, Saudi has decided to join the fun.

It really wasn't childish, it was pointing out the facts. Unless it passes the Senate, it's a temp agreement that can be revoked. All treaties are to go through Congress according to the Constitution.

Yes, it really was. I don't give a fuck whether or not it would be Constitutional. You don't point that shit out to the other side. Take care of it in house. Sending letters like that only undermines America as a whole.

I agree. The republicans have this really bullshit stance of "If Obama is for it we're against it, no matter the topic." I don't get it. He's had a ton of bad ideas, but not all of them were bad.
