This bullshit is all about controlling alternative media and giving big bro the ability to control content and some other things.
Don't be fooled by the right hand why they screw you with the left. It's a fucking scam, it's cispa, acta, Sopa, pipa, and all the other bullshit ruses that they couldn't pass before repackaged and re labeled as some other shit so we will accept it. Everyone wants faster Internet who'd argue with that?
Nothing is ever what these criminals claim it to be. The end game is to eventually have a log in or drivers license type sign in to the Internet to make it impossible to be anonymous and a slew of other bullshit ideas to have complete control over everything you say and do on the web. Wait and see, one way or another they will force this upon us, and in the end we will see it had absolutely nothing to do with what they claimed it was for when someone finally reads the bill after it passes.“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods". We have a government chock fucking full of them.

Our representatives, local and federal, have been bought and paid for by these internet service providers. Through this, they have unfairly restricted the marketplace and stifled competition. They have used tax dollars to build infrastructure that they control. And now due to a government propped monopoly, they are free to produce an inferior product, charge you more for it, and control what information you consume. Title II takes significant steps to undo the damage that's been done.
Quite frankly, I'm amazed people don't consider internet a utility in this day and age. But, as I've echoed before, I believe most of that is a knee jerk reaction to Obama saying anything about it. This wasn't a discussion for many before he did. I don't remember seeing threads about open internet legislation/regulation by the FCC or Verizon's legal victory in the past, many act like it's a recent construct. It's not.

And someone please cite where I said we shouldn't have any improvements, and that our internetz should always stay the same. Since that seems to be the running argument.WH

It's my belief that this is a scam for the reasons I stated above in my previous posts. Time will tell and we shall see what the true motive behind this is. On the surface it seems reasonable and all. I just have serious doubts about anything these criminals claim being what they say it is.“There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods". but seriously, the problem is basically because of corporations colluding with government to eliminate competition. Right? so the solution is to give government more power to regulate corporations, to make internet a government controlled utility?ازدهار رأسه برعشيت
