He was probably drugged to make him more compliant. The Saudis do that before a head chopping. Sometimes they will also drain alot of the blood to make less mess, and also induce a state of shock and more cooperation, as I understood it when I worked there.

I watched a person burn to death in a car fire in 1994-5 and my measly fire extinguisher did nothing. I can still remember the screams.

Watching that video brought all the back like it was yesterday. Even down to the body burning and looking like it's alive and moving, but it's just the water being burned out of the muscles.

Abdullah was crowned King of Jordan in 1999. Currently he is the majority local investor of a Star Trek theme park, named Red Sea Astrarium, in the Jordan city Aqaba. I know some of those photos are staged for press, but you can't easily stage joining a foreign military and flying helicopters. I will also note the Jordanian military looks far more competent than the Saudi military, who I personally witnessed as being grossly incompetent to the point it stopped being funny and just got annoying and sad.
