All I can say is just wow! Knowing this and if I were a soldier stationed in that AO, I would do everything possible not to be captured alive.

After ISIS execution, angry King Abdullah quotes Clint Eastwood to U.S. lawmakers

Members of the House Armed Services Committee met with Jordan's King Abdullah Tuesday not long after news broke that ISIS had burned to death a Jordanian pilot captured in the fight against the terrorist group. In a private session with lawmakers, the king showed an extraordinary measure of anger — anger which he expressed by citing American movie icon Clint Eastwood.

"He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn't seen," said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. "He mentioned 'Unforgiven' and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie."

Hunter would not say which part of "Unforgiven" the king quoted, but noted it was where Eastwood's character describes how he is going to deliver his retribution. There is a scene in the picture in which Eastwood's character, William Munny, says, "Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him. Any son of a bitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down."

"He's angry," Hunter said of King Abdullah. "They're starting more sorties tomorrow than they've ever had. They're starting tomorrow. And he said, 'The only problem we're going to have is running out of fuel and bullets.'"

"He's ready to get it on," Hunter added. "He really is. It reminded me of how we were after 9/11. We were ready to give it to them."

Hunter said there was no mention of President Obama during the bipartisan meeting, either by King Abdullah or by any of the lawmakers in the room.

A lot of us had an agreement that we wouldn't be taken alive and that was when we were dealing with Al Queda. This? Put another bullet in my head if you see them dragging me off. Kind of like dealing with Reavers.

Obama needs to sit back and take notes. Hopefully, we can get King Abdullah a Bad Motherfucker wallet in Arabic.

King Abdullah is by far the most western monarch in the middle east. He was educated in the United States and the UK and served as an officer in the British Army. He was also an extra in an episode of Star Trek!

King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein (Arabic: عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين) (born 30 January 1962; age 62) is the king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. An acknowledged fan of Star Trek, King Abdullah (then a prince) appeared as an uncredited extra in the Star Trek: Voyager second season episode "Investigations". Voyager executive producer Jeri Taylor commented, "Take away the title and the trappings, and at the core you have a Star Trek fan." (Star Trek Monthly?issue 16) Abdullah's cameo was arranged

He has absolute authority to do whatever he wants in Jordan and the other leaders pay attention to him.

A few reasons. We haven't had our asses handed to us since WW2, and have become pussified. Libbies breed in abundance, and are so stupid as to make you curious how they know how to breathe. They don't live in this reality, it basically has to kill them to have it sink in. And this would hurt those people's feelings. They'd cry "war criminal! Genocide! Evil mass murderer!!" To whichever potus went through with it.

I watched a person burn to death in a car fire in 1994-5 and my measly fire extinguisher did nothing. I can still remember the screams.

Watching that video brought all the back like it was yesterday. Even down to the body burning and looking like it's alive and moving, but it's just the water being burned out of the muscles.

                    Carpet bombings are in order.

I remember you telling me that story the first time I did a ride a long with you... years ago. And when I read about this pilot, I thought about what you told me.

That shit was horrible. But the production value of the copy I saw seemed pretty fucking high.

Why didn't he just pick up that flimsy cage and make them shoot him? With their shitty tactics, he would have taken a few of them with him because of their cross fire, and that cage seemed pretty weak.

He was probably drugged to make him more compliant. The Saudis do that before a head chopping. Sometimes they will also drain alot of the blood to make less mess, and also induce a state of shock and more cooperation, as I understood it when I worked there.

Yep. I'd be surprised if they held anyone at their full state of consciousness.
