Not uncommon knowledge around here but interesting read anyway.

What I find funny is that every article lately implies the folks elected in November are doing this......they are even in office yet.

The two most powerful ones are and they are laying back and taking it. They both said they wouldn't shut down the government, which right now is the only card they could have played.

..." Obama, champion of the common folk,..."

Kinda telling right there the author's intelligence level.

"...When a spending bill is over 1,700 pages, the purpose is to obscure, hide and insert provisions that will benefit those with money to influence the process at the expense of average Americans. None of the perpetrators in Congress actually read this bill. The public had no say regarding this bill."

Wonder what he said about the ACA?

If we only had an America full of people like George Carlin, what a place it would be!

Maybe if he had put it in quotation marks as you did, you would have read that as the satire it was intended to be.

The problem is that the American people are in favor of government spending cuts only in the abstract. They love the idea. Start recommending programs and they will scoff as soon as they get to the one they like.

So these people in Congress ARE doing what the voters want. The overwhelming majority of voters want as much "free shit" as possible from the government. Whether they are old fucks on the dole, people on disability or ghetto scumbags, they all want that free shit.

The idea that government money is "free" needs to go away in this country.
