Come to think of it, give me a church vs your beloved government any day. If I dont want to donate I dont have to, and if I dont want to play by their rules i dont have to.

Im curious as to how many times you've been "fleeced" by those "Donate a dollar" options when swiping your card. Did you donate and then get angry about having been ripped off?
It's not a zero sum scenario, which I alluded to in my post. You are putting a lot of words in my mouth, liberal.

Who in this thread has mentioned the Bible, other than you. Are you debating with yourself?

Churches should not be entirely tax exempt. Neither should the NFL.

I'm guessing you'll conveniently leave out the corrupt politicians' houses that are the same. Many of which have been proven to have used tax dollars (thats forced) to help fund their mansions, whereas the churches have to rely solely on donations.

I take it you'll also leave out the fact that those superchurches are far less in number than the average poor church, that still manages to do charity work even with their meager donations. Youre way out of your element here lol

So I guess i could say at least a church is only able to fleece the "unsuspecting" (lol)

whereas the gubberment gets to fleece both the suspecting, and the unsuspecting. To the point that some people even want them to be able to fleece those who are only fleecing the unsuspecting.

Whole lot of fleecing going on around here

Churches, like everything else, falls prey to abuse. If used as it's intended, it can be a very effective tool, socially for everyone.

That being said, I do my due diligence and research any institutions I give to. Any reputable one will produce financial statements like annual budgets, detailed staff salaries, etc. This will show me how well they manage the money and how much of it is actually going to spread God's Word and Love. Granted, it's only one of the many different things I research, but it's a big one.

Just like a liberal to presume we're playing a zero sum game. I guess you picked your overlord.

Also note that I'm okay with them going u/c in churches if the at is their practice across the board with all 501 entities.

Quit going off on tangents, liberal. That's what they do, they can't stay on the topic at hand so they bring up shit that nobody was talking about.

Fewer in number, bigger in donations. The church of the pastor whose house I showed the image of brings in an average of 70MM/year, I read. How many smaller churches can even come close to that dollar amount? After all, we are talking about the taxation of churches.

Speaking of abuse, look at how the Islamic faith has been subverted for secular purposes.
