Naysayers pull race card, claim folks will have to make a "three hour trip" to the nearest government office for an id. I bet they'd make that trip for a handout! Calling this a poll tax is a bit of a stretch. I haven't heard one good argument against it.

As long as you never plan on making anything of yourself and have a family system that'll let you be a leech you don't need an ID. Or even a checking account for that matter.
He can vote though, and could get a real ID if he wanted.
